Peter Wood, a popular Sunday rider was born in The Old Queen Victoria hospital and spent his first 8 Years living in Port Augusta. Peter has always ridden bikes since his early 20's and commutes regularly to work on one of his two current machines. His Sunday Ride, a nice BMW R1200R is his favorite bike to date having owned over 20 bikes in his lifetime, including a scooter and a Honda XBR 500 (we were all young once)! Peter is a fitter and turned by trade and has worked for SA Water for over 40 years. He is in an administrative capacity now. Coincidentally he worked alongside fellow members Kim Lim and Barry Hall during their respective times at the EWS, as it was known then. We asked Peter what he likes about the Club, his reply was that he feels very happy to be a member, is impressed with the friendship and the great rides led by Andrew and the welcoming atmosphere we have. You can't ask for more than that. Peter is due to retire within a few years and hopes to become more involved in the running of the club at that time.
